This was a last minute internet booking which has proved to be an excellent choice. The cottage was very welcoming and perfect for us and the dogs.
Alison, Carol, Joan, Sally and Shaibah, May 2010.
We have had a truly lovely stay at Firthview.
The cottage is wonderfully warm and cosy – and clearly someone has a fine eye
for design – so nicely appointed.
Everything you might need! This was a splendid week and we hope to return to
see the heather bloom.
All good wishes to Sarah, Al, Orrin,
the labs and the sheep.
Alan, Kathleen and Kay. May 2010.
Our stay at the cottage was wonderful, the scenery and wildlife amazing.
Many thanks to Sarah and Al for providing all the home comforts, their
friendliness and sharing of local information. Our only regret is that we have to leave.
Karen and Patricia. March 2010.
Had a great short stay. We had lots to do even in the Winter.
Loved the cottage – it had everything you might need.

This croft is everything you want. Lucky enough to have snow over Christmas.
A trip into the North Highlands is well worth it as is the drive along the coast.
Glad to have met Sarah & Alan a truly nice couple.
If you are ever travelling through Northamptonshire please look us up!
Best Wishes.
David, Trudy, Molly & little Meg. Christmas 2009.
Had a very relaxing and enjoyable short stay, the cottage was very warm and cosy,
a home away from home.
We would recommend taking a walk through Dunnet Forest.
We will be visiting again next year!
Ben & Tasha, Gosport. December 2009.
This last minute internet booking which has proved to be a fabulous choice.
We came to view houses in the area, found a property we loved, made an offer which has
been accepted and will make this area our permanent home next month.
Sarah & al have been so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
We highly recommend this lovely, cosy, secluded cottage.
The PERFECT place!
Chris, Eilleen & Hollie the dog. Lowestoft, Suffolk. October 2009.
We've had a fab time the whole week. Even though the wind raged outside we were all
cosy in this lovely little house!
Hope to be back sometime soon.
Anna, Richard and Ghillie, Bethania, Mid-Wales. October 2009.
We've enjoyed every moment of our stay in this wonderfully inviting cottage.
We found it to be very clean, beautifully equipped and so very relaxing.
Although one night the wind howled outside, inside was warm and cosy.
Places we enjoyed were the Castle of Mey, with lunch there well worth the money,
the Schoolhouse restaurant run by Ursula Shaw and her son David, really good food
and friendly people, Dunnet head, Freswick Beach, etc.
We enjoyed it so much here we would like our own little place here in Canisbay.
Thank you Sarah, Al and Orrin for making us welcome.
Vanessa & Frits, October 2009.
We've had a wonderful week here in the cottage, the weather has been fantastic
and we've enjoyed plenty of great walks and in particular the beaches of Sannick and Freswick.
We even had time for a trip to Orkney. Best food was at the Old Schoolhouse in John O'Groats.
All the best to Sarah & Al.

A nice week in Firthview… Thank you to Alan & Sarah for their kindness.
We'll say in France your land is so beautiful.
Oliver, Martine & Louise, France. July 2009.
This cottage has given us a fantastic week. The beautiful scenery, great days out
and such a lovely warm welcome has helped to contribute to a great escape from living
in the city.
We loved the wildlife boat trip at John O'Groats (the more expensive one is definitely worth
the extra price - it was amazing).
We also visited the Castle of Mey, the stacks, Dunnet Bay as well as other lovely
local beaches.
We'd like to say a massive thank you to Sarah & Al for providing us with a
lovely homely cottage.
A great week has been had.
James, Phil, Corrie & Steph. July 2009.
Tomorrow morning we are leaving for the Isle of Skye after having spent a week
in this beautiful cottage.
The cottage has all we wished for: comfort, nice surroundings, a great view and friendly owners.
We enjoyed exploring the area, took a trip to the Orkney Islands, made a wildlife cruise
and visited historic sites and castles.
In short, we had a wonderful week and wish Sarah and Al the best.

We have had a lovely 2 weeks here and have been looked after really well by Sarah and Alan.

Brilliant week for birds on the headlands and gentle walking.
Lovely coming back to comfort and warmth inside.
Mark & Ghislaine. Gloustershire May 2009.
We had a wonderful week here, we are sad to leave.
The croft is definitely "home from home" it had everything we needed.
Canisbay is beautiful although we did manage to get out and about.
Our favourite places were Dunnet Bay; it's so beautiful and great to walk the dog.
We also loved the coastline along the West of Scotland and Loch Eriboll is breathtaking.
If you go that way, call in at Cocoa Mountain chocolates at Durness.
Thank you so much for a wonderful break, I am sure we will be in touch for a visit in 2010.
